Pacers Snap Three-Game Skid with 115-99 Win Over Hornets

The Indiana Pacers ended their three-game losing streak with a convincing 115-99 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday night. Pascal Siakam led the Pacers with 25 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds, while Aaron Nesmith added 22 points and Myles Turner contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Despite a career-high 35 points from Hornets rookie Brandon Miller, Charlotte suffered their seventh consecutive loss, with five of those defeats coming by double digits. Miller’s impressive performance included 10-of-25 shooting from the field, 10-of-12 from the foul line, and five 3-pointers.

Siakam, who was acquired by the Pacers in a trade with the Toronto Raptors on January 17, expressed growing comfort with his role on the team. “Just figuring out that balance and being who I am as a player and also fitting in with the team,” he said.

The Pacers dominated the game from the start, scoring the first nine points and leading 26-13 after the first quarter. They held the Hornets to 39.8% shooting from the field and 27.6% from beyond the arc. Tyrese Haliburton added 17 points in 20 minutes despite a lingering hamstring injury.

For the Hornets, P.J. Washington scored 22 points, but Miles Bridges struggled with 8-of-23 shooting from the floor, missing six layups. Coach Steve Clifford praised Miller’s steady improvement, citing his hard work and diligence.
